I don't know where to begin. I've read every title by Rogue, but this is my favorite by far. The imagery in this collection was just stunning. Moments that captured such feeling and poetry that felt like it put itself in a genre of its own. Some lines in here will stick with me forever. And to me, that is the mark of a truly gifted writer. "Tell me what part of me I can sell" to be able to read this again for the first time. BUY THIS BOOK!
I have loved poetry for as long as I can remember. There is nothing better than picking up a poetry book and feeling the words behind the few lines written.
I love reading Rogue. I have seen her pieces floating around, but otherwise I believe this is the first time I have read one of her books. And honestly, I didn't so much as read it as I devoured it. I kept finding myself going back and highlighting things in it so I wouldn't forget about them.
If you are a poetry fan and or have wanted to start reading poetry then this is a beautiful start. You will get lost in the pages.

Having been an admirer of Ms.Rogue's work beforehand I absolutely couldn't wait to dive into this one! Like always Ms.Rogue grabs your heart with the true depth of her words. Many of these poems made me smile, others left me heartbroken, and the rest left me wanting full length novels. I could picture everything so vividly and I felt the pain of the people mentioned in the poems as if it were my own. I wasn't disappointed with any of the poems in Le Chant Des Sirènes and had a lot of favorites.
Ondine really grabbed me and I kept thinking about it long after reading it a dozen times. Zero To Your Numb Core hooked me with (You're a gypsy, you walked right out of my heart.) Last but certainly not least is A Song and the line Shape Me Into A Song will forever hold a special place in my mind as well as my heart. I'd name more but you have to experience these poems for yourself.
If you haven't One-Clicked this one you are missing out on a beautiful collection of poetry!! Ms.Rogue truly has a way with words. I haven't loved poetry like this since I discovered Robert Frost at a young age. Ms.Rogue is going down as one of my favorite poets for sure! I plan to add this one to my bookshelf to love for years to come. I hope you enjoy this collection as much as I did! 5 Stars all around!! )

Giving it a low rating not because of the content of the book but the overall condition. Pages and covers (front and back were bent) or folded. And cover was creased, not something I'd expect from a new book!
J.R. Rogue never fails to meet and surpass my expectations. You won't be disappointed in this unique collection of poetry.
rogue had me at sirens, and i wish more pieces had that siren-like vibe, but they were all carefully crafted and mesmerizing! a small read, but well worth it!
